As a result of our expanding clothing bank, Blue Jacket launched a new social enterprise, the Blue Jacket Clothing Company!  With a soft launch in August 2012, the clothing store now offers our inventory of business professional clothing to community members at bargain prices while continuing to be available to Career Academy clients at no cost.  As of July 2019, Blue Jacket donated 44,000 articles of clothing to it's clients to attend our training and be interview-ready.  

Blue Jacket’s goal is to create transitional positions responsible for the daily operations of the Clothing Store using only Blue Jacket graduates.  These transitional job placements provide income, experience, and a leg up for people that possess little hope at becoming employed.  The vehicle that makes transitional employment possible is our in-house staffing agency, Blue Jacket Staffing.

 On February 1st, 2023, Blue Jacket, Inc. purchased reNEW Upscale Resale, which for 12 years was hosted by the nonprofit organization BCS Foundation to support Christian education at Blackhawk Christian School.  Early in the summer of 2022, the BCS Foundation made the decision to close the cherished thrift store.

Blue Jacket believes that no adult should have a barrier to employment and Renew will be its seventh social enterprise designated to hire the clientele it serves.  Blue Jacket also committed to hiring the existing employees and some chose to continue serving the community.  Blue Jacket has a positive reputation in the community of serving any person struggling to find work, no matter the barrier, and providing an excellent service in it's existing thrift store Blue Jacket Clothing Co, the Fantasy of Lights, the Tall Rabbit Cafe + Community, and it's cleaning and staffing services.  Also view our excellent Google ratings.
