Black Pine Animal Sanctuary in Albion is set on 18 acres of Northern Indiana Lake Country. It’s a beautiful, wooded forever home for over 100 displaced, captive raised exotic and wild animals. Spend a few hours following the paved trails, meandering through the woods, and see various habitats for wolves, foxes, tigers, bobcats, bears and leopards. Meet Black Pine’s newest residents, Tucker, a 3-year old long tailed Macaque, and Mia, a 2-year old Red Handed Tamarin. Plus, four new tigers. A visit to Black Pine Animal Sanctuary is a fun and unique way to get outside, take a walk in the woods, meet and learn about all the resident animals that call Black Pine home. Relax and enjoy a picnic in one of their pavilions. Parking is always free. They host special events throughout the season too. When you support Black Pine Animal Sanctuary, you’re helping to provide a comfortable and safe habitat for over 100 displaced, captive-raised exotic animals for the rest of their lives. Black Pine Animal Sanctuary does not breed, sell, or trade any animals. It is a true sanctuary, a safe haven. Reserve a time for your guided tour. There’s one tour just right for you, try their regular guided tour, a feeding tour, the “tots & toddlers” tour, there’s even a behind-the-scenes tour! Visit bpsanctuary.org. And don’t forget to ask them how you can become a member and support their work with the animals all year long.
